Witness a 1,300-year-old tradition on the Kiso River. Set against the backdrop of Inuyama Castle, Japan's oldest castle keep, skilled masters work with cormorants to catch river sweetfish (ayu) using time-honored techniques. As evening falls, fires are lit on traditional wooden boats to illuminate the water.
